Art Exhibit: Acqua Alta

Water takes centre stage in these abstract representations of the landscapes of Aoteroa. Dive in and allow these images to inspire introspection, conversations, and a renewed respect for the world around us. 

Artist Kevin Mintenko's works seek to encapsulate the rhythmic dance of a turbulent river, the ebb and flow of the tides, the delicate tension between land and sea, and the ways in which humanity influences it all.

Acqua Alta is a mirror reflecting our intricate relationship with the natural environment. Through these works, Kevin invites you to glimpse our relationship with the water around us, to consider our choices, and trace the profound line as we adapt to nature, and it adapts to us.

Kevin moved to Marlborough in 2020 to pursue a new career, and be closer to family. Originally from Canada, he has studied Fine Arts with a focus on painting and sculpture, as well as fashion design. Kevin thrives on producing artworks that are evocative and abstract, often inviting discussion and debate.
