About the event
An insightful wine and cheese tasting with local cheesemaker Simon Lamb of Cranky Goat and Fidelio co-owner Elgee Leung for this Cheese & Pinot Gris Masterclass on Wednesday, May 1st at 6:30pm.
A grape variety originally from the Burgundy area, Pinot Gris broke into the New Zealand scene in the early 1990s. Today, Pinot Gris has had a dramatic rise to fame and is now our third most popular white variety with 2,809 hectares planted.
Pinot Gris is often refreshing and mouth-filling with intense pleasure whether quenchingly light or richly complex. Enjoy a well-balanced Pinot Gris that easily complements roast pork, creamy pastas, poultry and seafood dishes. And of course cheese!
Cranky Goat owners Simon and Hellene Lamb, took a leap of faith turning Simon’s cheese making hobby into a small business back in 2014. It took grit, determination and passion focusing on minimal processing, traditional French cheese making methods, and delivering real flavour with their range of goat, sheep, and cow's milk cheeses.
Tickets are $65 per person. Book early as spaces are limited.
